The Miami event is being held at a time when thousands of parcel shipments are being held by customs authorities around the world due to the lack of valid data.
This follows a hectic year of regulatory change which included Brexit, the US STOP Act and the EU’s abolition of the VAT exemption on low value goods, along with the introduction of the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS).
As of January 1st 2022, the implementation of HS2022, with wholesale changes to HS commodity codes, will cause further challenges for postal operators, carriers and their retailer and marketplace customers.
