ETrak is The Delivery Group’s advanced international delivery parcel service used by eCommerce sellers to ship worldwide.
The Delivery Group differentiates itself by providing a customer centric approach using its own dedicated vehicle fleet for collections, providing fast and accurate fully automated sortation and supporting customers through its in-house pro-active Client Service and Account Management teams.
The Delivery Group’s ETrak service is a true multi carrier platform which prides itself on high speed, straightforward deliveries and fulfilment services carried out at an affordable rate.
Hurricane Commerce was initially selected by TDG in 2021 to integrate within TDGs proprietary ETrak system to provide a landed cost engine for duty and tax calculation.
Additional data services including prohibited and restricted goods screening and denied parties screening were then also made available to ETrak customers.
Mark Calladine, TDG’s Group eCommerce & International Director, said: “It is a legal obligation that TDG and our customers are compliant with all rules and regulations governing international trade.
“TDG provide a consultative and hands on approach to help its customers increase their cross-border trade. Ensuring our customers know about their compliance requirements is something we take extremely seriously at TDG and Hurricane’s data solutions are an integral part of this offer.
“We have a very data centric approach from the outset of a customer relationship, making sure they understand what is needed including the importance of complete and accurate product descriptions and HS codes.
“We talk a lot to our customers about the passport for their parcels. Data is King.”
Mark added: “Hurricane is the perfect partner for us. From the very outset three years ago through to today, we have enjoyed a highly professional partnership. Our respective teams understand each other and have a very smooth working relationship.”
ETrak enjoys over 240% Growth
In the last year, ETrak has experienced growth of over 240%. Since the product launched three years ago, turnover has increased to more than £10million annually.
Mark said: “Utilising Hurricane’s services within ETrak has been a crucial part of this success story and allows TDG to provide a full range of services through one simple integration.”
Hurricane’s real-time data solutions also ensure that ETrak is able to comply with changing regulatory events such as the STOP Act and Entry Type 86 requirements in the United States and Import Control System 2 (ICS2) in the European Union.
Poor data impacts an entire container
Mark said: “You need the right data to keep the parcels flowing. Poor data doesn’t just impact a single parcel, it affects an entire container. This means delays, additional costs, fines, penalties and reputational damage. Hurricane’s data solutions help TDG and our customers ensure compliance of the highest possible standard and avoid these pain points.”
Rob Dundas, Hurricane’s Sales Director, said: “TDG is a fantastic example of a global logistics business that wants to do things the right way.
“They recognise the difference that having real-time, automated data solutions can make for them and their customers in terms of powering global trade, helping them stay compliant and providing them with the scalability they require as their business continues to expand in various international markets.
“As their business grows, so does Hurricane’s. Since we were integrated just over two years ago, our API call volumes have more than trebled.”
