CDS Zephyr
Hurricane’s Zephyr can now be activated in CDS
Complete and valid customs declarations are a requirement for all postal operators involved in global trade.

THE SOLUTION
Hurricane’s Zephyr data enhancement API has been integrated into the UPU’s Customs Declaration System (CDS).
This follows the successful testing of our API by the UPU’s Postal Technology Center.
Completing customs declarations with correct and valid information will, as the result of changes in postal and customs regulations, be a pre-requisite for efficient and compliant cross-border processing of packages and packets.
What Zephyr does
- Real time checking of the match between provided HS6 code and/or product description on a mail item by mail item basis
- Identifies invalid description - a mismatch between the HS6 code and product description and/or an invalid product description

The service that will be made available via CDS in a first phase will consist of the provision of the most likely HS6 code in cases where this information is missing. Zephyr will also provide the top match plus at most 20 other matches if required.

Hurricane can provide postal operators who are licensed CDS users with the CDS Zephyr solution. Activation is simple.
My Hurricane
My Hurricane is an online portal that allows Postal Operators to manage their Hurricane account including billing, usage statistics and User Groups (if they are on an enterprise account)
Upon delivery of the dedicated Hurricane API key, Hurricane will create and activate a secure My Hurricane account for the Postal Operator.
