Hurricane co-founders David Spottiswood and Martin Palmer had a flying visit to Switzerland for a series of meetings with key partners.
First up was a strategy discussion with SGS, the Swiss multinational company headquartered in Geneva, involving various members of both teams including their Business Development Director Barbara Soto.
From there, David and Martin headed for meetings in Bern with the Universal Postal Union as part of Hurricane’s status as a Gold Member of the UPU’s Consultative Committee.
Lots of great discussion around the future use of best-in-class technology and the vital role complete, accurate and timely data plays in ensuring seamless cross-border trade and a smooth customs flow.
Following our meeting, the UPU described Hurricane as delivering “in-depth expertise in developing data-driven cross-border eCommerce solutions, which it contributes to the work of the (UPU’s) Consultative Committee”.
